Mountain Farms Mall Redevelopment - Hadley, Massachusetts

Doucet and Associates provided on-going civil engineering consulting services for the redevelopment of the Mountain Farms Mall on Route 9 in Hadley, MA. This 378,000 SF commercial redevelopment project encompassed high-level State Permitting including review under the Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act (MEPA), the Massachusetts Highway Department (MHD), Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MADEP), the Town of Hadley Planning Board, Hadley Conservation Commission, Hadley Historical Commission, and the Hadley Zoning Board of Appeals. Consulting services included planning, permitting and design of the on-site parking facilities, stormwater management systems, sanitary sewer systems, utilities as well as wetland’s protection and mitigation. In addition, this redevelopment project also included traffic improvements to State Highway Route 9. The center is now home to several well known national retail chains such as Wal-Mart, Barnes & Noble, Old Navy, Linen-n-Things, Marshall’s, Michael’s, and Whole Foods.
