Whitestone Market - Cedar Park, Texas

Whitestone Market is a three-phase retail development on property adjacent to FM 1431 between Parmer Lane and Vista Ridge Boulevard, and is part of the Silverado Springs Master Plan in Cedar Park, Texas. The project was developed by Barshop & Oles, and is anchored by an H-E-B Grocery Store, approximately 30,000 SF of in-line retail, an H-E-B Fuel Station and a bank on site.

During Phase I, D&A provided planning, engineering design, and permitting services for 23 acres along the south side of FM 1431 between Parmer Lane and Market Street. A commercial roadway was designed and permitted, as well. Coordination with other design engineers, including the Silverado Springs developer’s engineer was required on the off-site street and utility work that occurred within the Silverado Springs Master Plan development. Phase II consisted of conceptual site and land planning, subdivision processing, and engineering review of infrastructure plans for the area along FM 1431 between Market Street and Phase III. Phase III was between Phase II and Vista Ridge Boulevard and consisted of the design, permitting, and construction administration for an attached joint-use driveway, as well as utility extensions to provide service to each lot.

Planner Carey Bresler cited that “the use of local limestone and sensitivity to the natural environment make this site special. D&A’s knowledge of local materials and methods led to the use of limestone retaining and pond walls, a cost effective measure that added to the local character of the site”.

Whitestone Market is another successful addition to Barshop & Oles’ already substantial presence across the Texas retail development landscape. As Vice President of Development, Mr. Milo Burdette was D&A’s point of contact throughout the project. "Whitestone Market is good example of Doucet & Associates' ability to plan, design, as well as coordinate other disciplines within a complex development environment", Burdette commented. "Carey, as well as Keith Schauer and John Doucet have performed very well for us for a number of years. Having D&A on our team continues to pay dividends for us and bring additional value to our projects".
