Ishi Hills Middle School - Oroville, California
D&A provided the onsite and offsite civil
improvement plans for this new middle school and the main access road
in Butte County. We reviewed existing construction documents from
1996 that were done by other companies and scoped the work accordingly.
Tasks included but were not limited to: sanitary sewer design, permit
requirements research, hydraulic calculations verifications, update
erosion control plan, prepare a SWPPP and construction administration.
We prepared plans for the installation of approximately 2,000 SF of
public sanitary sewer on Foothills Boulevard and coordinated closely
with the Architect, City of Oroville, OESD Trustees, and Oroville
School District to obtain permits and approval. The school is open
for the 2006/2007 school year. With close to 8,100 homes forecast
to be built in the Oroville area within the next five to 10 years,
supporters of the school are hoping that bond will pass in 2008 to
add a multi-purpose building that would house a gymnasium, cafeteria,
student lockers, showers and a music room.
