John D. Doucet, P.E. President & CEOAfter graduating from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, John Doucet spent the early years of his career managing complex public and private projects with large engineering consulting firms in Texas and California. During those years, he developed a vision for creating a different kind of engineering firm … one that placed an emphasis on collaboration, creativity and community among employees and clients. In 1992, he brought his vision to life with the founding of Doucet & Associates. Over the years, John's technical expertise coupled with his personable and straight-forward style have helped draw top talent to the company, and build an impressive client list. As President and CEO of Doucet & Associates, John is responsible for all civil engineering engagements and overall direction of the firm.
John is a Registered Professional Engineer in the states of Texas, California, Louisiana, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Connecticut, Vermont, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts.

J. Keith Schauer, P.E., CDP Vice PresidentKeith Schauer joined Doucet & Associates in 1993, as one its earliest employees. Keith has designed and directed major residential, retail, commercial and infrastructure projects and is known as a hands-on manager who stays personally involved in projects from launch through close out. He has extensive experience in all aspects of project management, including contract negotiation, budgeting, scheduling, construction oversight, client satisfaction and supervision of personnel. He is a certified development, design and construction professional (CDP) with 20 years' experience as a Professional Engineer in Texas and California. He is TxDOT pre-certified in numerous categories and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University.

Joe Grasso, P.E. Vice PresidentOne of D&A's original employees, Joe Grasso, P.E., joined the firm in 1992 following six years' experience working with large Austin-based engineering firms. As a Vice President of D&A, Joe is responsible for the Austin Division's single largest retail account and directs a design team consisting of as many as 15 personnel. He is the main point of contact and oversees all aspects of this Fortune 500 client's projects in the Austin Division including out-lots and pad-sites of the anchored developments. Joe is an expert at retail development and has extensive experience in public sector work. Joe holds a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from The University of Texas and is a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas.

Duane Hutson, AICP Planning ManagerDuane Hutson has worked in the Central Texas Region and around the State of Texas in both the public and private sectors. Prior to joining Doucet and Associates, he worked with a boutique planning firm in Austin, Texas providing a specialized scope of work to the client with specific needs. Duane has a broad background in site design and land use planning of individual tracts and large acreage subdivisions and a vast understanding of the rules and regulations applicable to the entitlement process. He also assisted private property owners, municipalitites and other condemning authorities with land use analysis and feasibility studies as they are related to the acquisition of rights-of-way and other takings issues.
A proponent of land use and urban design that “fits” the scale of the surrounding environment, Duane's view of development and land use centers on the sense of place and innovative design.

Carey Bresler, AICP, PMP Client ManagerAfter receiving her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Environmental Design from Texas A&M, Carey Bresler joined D&A in 1998. As a Client Manager in D&A’s Austin Division, Carey is responsible for all aspects of one of the nation’s largest independently-owned grocery retailer’s and it’s preferred development partners’ development projects across Texas. Carey holds the AICP accreditation from the American Planning Association and the PMP accreditation from the Project Management Institute, as well as being TxDOT pre-certified in several categories.

Davood Salek, P.E. Client ManagerDavood Salek joined D&A in 1999 after receiving his Masters Degree in Civil Engineering – Transportation at the University of Texas. As a Client Manager in D&A’s Austin Division, Davood is responsible for all aspects of a variety of retail site development projects throughout Texas. Additionally, he is the Austin Division’s resident expert for transportation-related engineering issues. Davood is TxDOT precertified in a number of categories and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.

Jason Ward, R.P.L.S. Survey ManagerJason is a registered professional surveyor in the State of Texas and has over nine years of experience in the surveying and engineering industry. He is TxDOT pre-certified and proficient in the coordination of survey activities with clients, municipalities and regulatory agencies and adheres to survey guidelines and standards as defined by the Texas Society of Professional Surveyors. As manager, he monitors the field crew and office staff, reviews surveys for completeness and accuracy, manages the drafting work to meet client deadlines and reviews, signs and seals completed surveys.
Jason’s project experience includes residential subdivisions, commercial buildings, office/warehouse complexes, multi-family developments, retail centers, communication towers, churches, mid-rise condominiums, hospitals and schools.

C. Rick Coneway, P.E., BCEE, CPM Vice President, Austin Division ManagerRick Coneway is a licensed Professional Engineer with over thirty years experience in administration and management of material, budget, and personnel resources. He has has directed a full range of civil engineering projects and studies associated with public works and land development infrastructure planning, design and construction. He has proven leadership and organizational skills gained through involvement with business, civic, and government entities throughout his dual military and civilian career.

Carlos Garcia, P.E. Senior Client ManagerIn thirteen years as a Civil Engineer, Carlos Garcia has provided engineering design and project management services for all aspects of land development and subdivision engineering design projects in central Texas. His areas of expertise include design, permitting, and construction plans for drainage, roadway, water and wastewater utilities, water quality, erosion and sedimentation protection, storm sewer, and detention systems associated with a wide range of site development projects. He has provided project management for construction plans and permitting efforts for several high-rise downtown condominium projects, office complexes, retail/commercial, industrial parks and multi-family developments.

Ashok Perera, P.E. Senior EngineerAshok Perera has thirteen years of experience in various areas of civil engineering design. He has worked on numerous site development projects for both private and public clients in the Central Texas area. He is responsible for the design of commercial, institutional and residential sites, stormwater management systems, water quality control systems, surface hydrology, utility design, grading design, project management, construction phase inspection and technical writing of specifications and bid documents. He has considerable experience in obtaining development permits from various governmental agencies at local, county and state level.
