Xinos Featured in Mayor Leffingwell’s CPR Survivors Presentation

May 7, 2013: Syd Xinos, Vice President and Austin Division Manager, was a guest speaker at Mayor Leffingwell’s recent press conference with the American Heart Association that took place at Austin City Hall on Tuesday, April 23rd to discuss a grant to increase CPR training in the community. Syd is a business leader who knows the value of CPR training better than most – he wouldn’t be alive today if it weren’t for the Westlake Fire Department performing CPR on him when he had a heart attack several years ago. Syd spoke as a CPR Survivor to spread the message about the importance of CPR training. We are proud of Syd for being chosen and thankful to him for sharing his time and experience to improve our community!

Firm’s CapMetro Surveying Work

April 25, 2013: The City of Austin Transportation Department recently released their newsletter featuring an article about CapMetro’s First MetroRapid stops nearing completion. April 24, 2013: D&A proudly supported Administrative Professionals Day. Executives (from left to right) John Doucet, Rick Coneway and Syd Xinos took the “serving” role seriously as they surprised the administrative staff with a luncheon that they prepared, served and even cleaned up! Donning aprons and large grins, this was a small gesture to show appreciation for key team members (from left to right) Eunice Bergin, Melony May, Weslea Wilks and Meranda Perkins!

March 6, 2013: We are proud to announce our participation in Central Texas’ “Amplify Austin” Charitable Contribution Drive, which was held to raise $1 Million in a 24-hour period to Support Charities throughout Central Texas. Through a combination of employees’ personal donations and the firm’s matching contributions, we contributed over $1,000 to support such worthwhile charities as Alzheimer’s Association Capital of Texas, American Youth Works, Animal Trustees of Austin, Austin Habitat for Humanity, Austin Humane Society, Austin Pet’s Alive, Capital Area Food Bank, Emancipet, Hospice Austin, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, PAWS Shelter & Humane Society, and Susan G Komen.
